(coil cover has a split on side) The Sunray S-8 search coil has always been used with a coil cover and works perfect and is waterproof up to the control box connector. SEF 12x10 butterfly coil with coil cover.
The SEF 12x10 has always been used with a coil cover and works perfect and waterproof up to the control box. Minelab stock Sovereign GT 10 coil with coil cover. This search coil has been used on the beach without a coil cover. There is a discoloration on the bottom of the coil and some wear.
However it works perfect and is waterproof up to the control box connector. There are also 1/2 rubber boots on the toggle switches to prevent sand from jamming up toggle switches and leading to failure.
There is a crack around the speaker and headphone jack with a crack extending in the plastic. There are also some small cracks on the side and bottom of the control box. Yes this machine is used and it has some bumps and scrapes, but rest assured the detector works fine, the way it was built to work. This Sovereign GT is a hip mount beach and fields dream machine. The Sovereign GT and it's 17 multi frequency operation give the machine nice smooth operation in any soil including the wet salt sand.
This detector is very deep in any soil. Please look at all the pictures and ask any questions. The detector and all of its accessories work just fine and will continue to give years of service. Pretty doesn't find treasure, a work horse machine with legendary performance does.
